Important information about changes of Office' duties

Dear Clients,

 

We hereby inform you that citizenship, native registry and change of name matters previously assigned to the Office of Immigration and Nationality are transferred to the Prime Minister’s Office and to the Government Office of the Capital City Budapest as of 1 January 2017. From this date our new name is Immigration and Asylum Office.


From 1 January 2017, the Department of Citizenship and Native registry of the Government Office of the Capital City Budapest is responsible for citizenship matters and for change of name procedures and acts as a registration authority for applications for gender or forename changes.

From 1 January 2017, the State Secretariat for Territorial Administration of the Prime Minister’s Office acts as the central governing body for native registry matters and as the registration authority for applications for registration of forenames not included in the register of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

Dear Client,

 

Please be informed that the electronic administration platform of the National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing (hereinafter: Directorate-General) called Enterhungary (www.enterhungary.gov.hu) is experiencing a temporary slowdown due to increased client interest in recent times. As a result, uploading applications and attachments might take longer than usual and the availability of the electronic payment system is limited.

 

The colleagues of the Directorate-General are working on the troubleshooting and after the full recovery of the service, a notification will be published on the website of the Directorate-General.

 

The procedural fee of applications already submitted may be paid via bank transfer, postal cheque, or in person at client services with a bank card – indicating the EH (Enterhungary) case number.

 

The Directorate-General can only consider payments transferred to the following bank account number: 10023002-00283511-02000006.

 

It is important for the identification of the applications that in case of bank transfer or postal cheque payment only one procedural fee shall be paid at once. In both cases it is important to indicate in the comment section the EH case number that the application is registered on.

 

We kindly apologise for any inconveniences caused by the malfunction of the electronic application platform.
