Information notice on application for the reimbursement of fees paid by mistake in aliens policing procedures
Please be informed that you can claim reimbursement of the administrative service fee in case of applications paid by mistake (e.g., if you paid an incorrect procedural fee, you are not entitled to submit the respective application, you have submitted an application for issuance instead of an application for extension, etc.).
You can submit your application to the aliens policing authority in person; send it by post or by ePaper services. In all cases, the form prescribed specifically for this purpose must be completed with the relevant personal data of yours (name, date of birth, mother’s name, case/EnterHungary number) and attached to the application.
The following are required to be attached to the application form:
· proof of payment of fee for the reimbursement case, or
· in case of a technical failure, information notice thereon, or,
· a power-of-attorney for the case, in case an attorney-in-fact is acting on your behalf.
Please note that in all cases, payment by mistake must be substantiated thoroughly and in detail.
In case of technical failures, please provide a detailed explanation of the failure (e.g., you did not appear before the authority within the deadline, you uploaded the wrong application via Enter Hungary, you withdrew from the application, etc.).
Please note that the amount to be reimbursed can only be claimed to a bank account in Hungary or a Hungarian address. If the bank account is not held by the applicant, a declaration of consent is to be attached to the application form, in the form of a private or public document with full probative force, together with its translation into Hungarian or English.
Please note that reimbursement of an amount paid by mistake cannot be paid into a bank account held in a financial institution in a third country (e.g. Revolut, Wise accounts).
